Wednesday, August 29, 2007 Rolling Wok • This restaurant/cafe is located at 29 Heng Mui Keng Terrace, Singapore its called Rolling Wok, serves mainly Asian food. Due to its affordability and location, we visited this place quite often , around once a week. I have tried almost everything on the menu, from the soup, to the dishes and main courses here are some pictures the drinks, they all sounded wonderful but taste wise its just so-so the soup, chicken broth with crab meat, this is really good I would give it 8/10, the crab meat is real, not those kana (the red rolled crabmeat) and the broth is good so overall this is really a must try the curry chicken is MrK's favourite, together with the fried mantou, is absolutely a must order from him desserts are also served but they are only OK, not that wonderful given that we know of this place because some friends recommend its desserts, I would suggest u skip dessert here other main course highlights cha siew noodles, but they called it something else, basically I have tried everything that has a recommendation sign beside it, including the chicken roll porridge and the chicken rice i think this is the homemadetofu with mushroom, another wonderful dish, i will give it a 7.5/10 this is the three cup chicken treasures, which is basically chicken cooked in 3 spices or sth like that, just a normal dish, not that wonderful the pic of the chicken rice,it is really good, enough said i think :P anyway the only gripe about this place is its location, it is just besides the halls or residences of NUS, but walking distance to the nearest bus stop makes u feel like eating again, that said it is best reached by car or bike. overall I would rate the food and service at 7/10 Labels: restaurant review 12:04 pm
